Responsive website and CMS for the Beach Club Strandperle Hamburg, Germany

Customer

The «Strandperle» at the Hamburg Harbour was taken over by two local families in 2007 and has since been run by them with lots of love.

Solution

Implementation of the website in HTML5, CSS and JavaScript allows the intuitive operation of the page for all current mobile and stationary devices. The text and images are easy to maintain via a Contao CMS.

To simplify the rental of the upper deck (Mietlocation), we developed a booking tool, which can be maintained by all employees via a Google Calendar. Thus only available dates for events are bookable on the website and all reservation requests are clearly visible.

This solution reduced administrative effort for reservations enormously.

The intro made out of paper

The different levels of the intro react differently to the mouse position - they are shifted with perspective. An apparently flat image of torn paper turns out to be a moving view from the Strandperle.

The haptic-looking Parallax intro resembles a stage set. This interactive fullscreen graphics creates the alliance between analog and digital world.

Perfect on all devices

Thanks to responsive design the website responds flexibly to the respective screen size (viewport) and is thereby displayed perfectly on all devices. It impresses with a simple and logical usability and provides a good user experience on mobile devices.
